Return to Exercise FAQs
Which practitioner should I see first?
We recommend seeing a physiotherapist first for an initial assessment. From here, we can recommend an appropriate class or refer your to our Exercise Physiologist to support your return to exercise goals. Starting with a physio ensures you receive a comprehensive evaluation and follow the right treatment plan.
What exercise is safe for me?
This is highly dependent on the person, and what is appropriate or safe will vary greatly. The best thing you can do is book an appointment with a physio to assess your fitness and musculoskeletal health.
What’s involved in my fitness assessment?
One of our friendly physios will assess where you’re at now, understand your goals, and then we’ll create a measured return to exercise that’s aligned with your lifestyle. Please be assured that at our clinic there is no judgement in where you start, the roadblocks or health issues you’re facing.
Do I need a referral or get my doctor’s clearance?
No, you don’t need a referral to see us. Rest assured, our experienced physiotherapists are well-versed in handling various medical conditions and will ensure that all activities are safe and appropriate for your individual situation.
