Meet Our Women’s Dietitian & Nutrition Expert – Rachel Hazlett!
Hello! I’m Rachel, a Certified Fertility Dietitian and Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD). I became a fertility and pregnancy specialist because I am passionate about helping women become mothers. My journey wasn’t easy; I had a rough fertility and pregnancy experience myself, and that lived experience drives me to help other women achieve better outcomes.
As an expert in fertility nutrition science, I’m here to help you find practical solutions. If you’re still unsure why a fertility dietitian is a great addition to your journey, here are five key reasons to book a consultation at our Everton Park clinic:
1. You Want to Optimise Your Baby’s “First 1000 Days”
Preparing your body for conception is about more than just a positive test; it’s about “genetic programming.” A healthy diet and lifestyle now can positively influence your baby’s lifelong health.
The Everton Park Advantage: Our Healthy Women clinic offer a range of Women’s services to assist you through your pregnancy journey. Pelvic Health Physio, Pre & Post Natal pilates and Strength classes are just some of the fantastic services available. Working alongside these experts, I can also help you optimise your body’s diet and nutrition to ensure you put yourself in the best health position possible.
2. You Are Navigating Complex Conditions (PCOS, Endometriosis, or Fibroids)
If you’re struggling to conceive with conditions like PCOS, fibroids, thyroid problems, or endometriosis, you need more than generic advice. Having worked in the hospital sector before moving into private practice, I have a deep knowledge base in medical women’s health, giving you individualised advice and education.
Integrated Care: If your condition requires physical support, our Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists are right here to work alongside us for a truly holistic plan.
3. You Want to Boost Your IVF Success Rates
Globally, IVF success rates hover around 45-48%. Further-trained fertility dietitians are the right professionals to provide strategies to increase those odds. Research consistently shows that nutrition plays a massive role in egg quality and uterine receptivity. If you are investing in IVF, let me ensure your body is the best possible environment for success.
4. You Need Weight Management That Protects Your Fertility
Your doctor may have suggested losing or gaining weight, but you might worry about how that affects the nutrients needed to grow a baby. This is a common “conundrum.” With my experience in specialist weight loss clinics, I provide practical, easy-to-implement tips that focus on hormonal balance – whether that means healthy weight loss or nourishing weight gain.
5. You’ve Experienced Recurrent Miscarriage or Implantation Failure
If you have experienced a chemical pregnancy or recurrent implantation failure, I want you to know that I see you. I understand what you’re going through firsthand. While factors like maternal age and stress play a role, there are evidence-based nutritional strategies we can use to help you take back control of your journey. We also have on-site Psychology service that can assist with your mental health.
